‘Food chain’ aims to make the food chain fair and more sustainable by setting up meetings at various locations, ranging from farms to festivals. For example, in 2015 an organic diner was served at the Fries Museum. Participants also paid a visit to the farmers who produced the ingredients for the food served at Welcome to the Village – a sustainable festival – and discussed organic food and celebrated diversity at the festival. In 2016, Food chain aims to not only interest Frisian youth, but also young people in Amsterdam and Ede with a comparable programme.
